Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.0 · effective 02/10/2026
WithOpp is shared by many businesses. These rules protect everyone's data and business. They apply to everyone who uses WithOpp - owners and staff - and form part of the Terms of Service.
1. What is not allowed
Illegal activity
Not allowed: Using WithOpp for any illegal purpose, including selling goods or services that are banned in Tanzania or that need a licence you do not have.
Fraud and tax evasion
Not allowed: Recording fake sales, purchases or payments; keeping false records to hide income from the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA); or giving a WithOpp receipt as if it were a fiscal receipt (EFD/VFD).
Manipulating records
Not allowed: Changing, backdating or deleting records to mislead your business, auditors or authorities. The audit log records every change and cannot be edited or deleted.
Other businesses' data
Not allowed: Trying to see, change or guess another business's data - even if you think you have found a way to.
Unauthorised access and credential theft
Not allowed: Using someone else's account or password, sharing passwords, tricking people into giving their sign-in details, or keeping access after leaving a business.
Attacks and malware
Not allowed: Uploading harmful files or code, probing for weaknesses, deliberately overloading WithOpp, or using WithOpp to attack anyone else.
Getting around security
Not allowed: Bypassing sign-in, role permissions, plan limits or read-only status.
Automated access
Not allowed: Using bots, scripts or scraping against WithOpp. WithOpp has no public API today; if one is offered, it will come with its own rules.
Spam
Not allowed: Using customer or supplier phone numbers or emails kept in WithOpp to send messages people did not agree to.
Payment abuse
Not allowed: Using fake or reused transaction references, disputing genuine payments to get free service, or paying with money that is not yours.
2. If you find a security weakness
Tell us using the "Report a security problem" button in the Legal & Trust Center. Do not use the weakness, do not access anyone else's data, and do not publish it before we have fixed it. A good-faith report that follows these steps will not be treated as a breach of this policy.
3. Your team
- The business owner is responsible for how their team uses WithOpp.
- The owner or an admin can suspend a team member instantly on the Team screen - for example if misuse is suspected or the person leaves.
- Every change is recorded with the name of the person who made it, so the owner can see what happened.
4. How we find out about misuse
We do not routinely read your business records. We act on reports, security alerts and our own system logs. Every time WithOpp staff open a business's records, it is logged (see the Privacy Policy).
5. What we can do
Warning
What it means: We contact the owner, explain the problem, and give time to fix it - where possible.
Restriction (read-only)
What it means: All the owner's businesses become read-only. You can still sign in, see and get a copy of your records - we never take your data away. The reason is shown in Settings → Subscription. Paying does not lift a restriction.
Urgent cases
What it means: For attacks, danger to other people's data or clearly illegal activity, we may restrict immediately without warning.
Authorities
What it means: Where the law requires, we report to or cooperate with the authorities (see the Privacy Policy).
Ending the agreement
What it means: For serious or repeated breaches (Terms of Service, section 13).
6. If you disagree with a decision
Write to us at withopp.bis@gmail.com, explaining why you think the decision is wrong. We will review it and reply within 30 days. If we find we made a mistake, we lift the restriction immediately.
7. Reporting misuse
Anyone - including a shop's customer with no WithOpp account - can report misuse with the "Report misuse" button in the Legal & Trust Center, or at withopp.bis@gmail.com. Say what happened, when, and the business name or receipt number if you have it. We do not reveal who reported to the business concerned unless the law requires it.
